The main objective of Mahadbt scholarship 2021 is to provide financial assistance to all the meritorious students who are unable to continue their education due to their financial condition. The eligibility criteria of various kinds of scholarship that are offered by Mahadbt Scholarship are as follows:-
Social Justice and Special Assistance Department

The department of social justice and special assistance Maharashtra provides this scholarship at the post-matric level. Under this scholarship, various types of assistance are provided to the students in the form of tuition fees, exam fees, education fees, maintenance Allowance etc. You apply for this scholarship scheme through Maha DBT Portal. Before applying you are required to check your eligibility criteria. There are five types of scholarships that are offered by the social justice and special assistance department. You can view the details regarding the eligibility criteria of these scholarships below


Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Government of India Post-Matric Scholarship The annual income should be less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lakh. The student should belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Navbouddha category. The student must be a resident of Maharashtra. The student should have passed SSC/equivalent matric. Only two professional courses are allowed.
Post Matric Tuition Fee and Examination Fee (Freeship) The annual income should not exceed above INR 2.5 Lakh. The student’s category should be Scheduled Caste (SC) or Neo Buddhist. The student should be a resident of Maharashtra. The student should have passed SSC/equivalent matric. The student’s institute should be located in Maharashtra recognized by the Government. The students should admit through CAP round only for Professional Courses


Maintenance Allowance for Students Studying in Professional Courses The students should be admitted to professional courses. The students should be the scholarship holder of the Government of India. The family annual income should be less than or equal to INR 2.5 Lakh. The students who are studying in the professional curriculum and residing in Hostel (Government or Institutes Hostel or outside).
Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship The student should belong to the SC category. There is no income limit for the scholarship. Students must be studying in class 11th or 12th. Students should secure 75% and above in class 10th. The student should be a resident of Maharashtra
Post-Matric Scholarship for Persons with Disability The students who are disabled are eligible to apply. (40% or above) The students should be residents of Maharashtra. The students should be studying at a recognised university or institute. The scholarship will not be applicable if the candidate fails or quits the same course.


Tribal Development Department

There are four types of scholarships that are offered by the tribal development department under Post Matric Scholarship through the Mahadbt Scholarship. These scholarships can be availed only by the scheduled category students. Under this scholarship scheme, various kinds of financial assistance are provided in the form of tuition fees, examination fees, vocational education fees, maintenance allowance etc. If you want to apply for a tribal development department scholarship then you are required to check your eligibility criteria. The details of eligibility criteria of tribal development department scholarship schemes are as follows


Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

Post Matric Scholarship Scheme Only ST students are applicable to apply. The annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The students should at least have passed the class 10th examination.
Tuition Fee and Exam Fee for Tribal Students The student’s annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The students should belong to the ST category only.

Vocational Education Fee for Reimbursement The student’s annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The students should belong to ST category only. The students who are enrolled for vocational education courses like, Engineering, Pharmacy, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Vaastu Shastra, MBA, and MCA will be eligible.
Vocational Education Maintenance Allowance The student’s annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 Lakh. The students should belong to ST category only


Directorate of Technical Education

Usually, technical education is more costly than general education and there are many students who despite being good in academics can not afford to pursue technical education. So the Directorate of Technical Education of Maharashtra offers 2 types of scholarships for those students who are undergoing technical Education like engineering, biotechnology, architecture etc. Under this scholarship scheme, various kinds of financial assistance are offered to the students so that they can continue their education without thinking about the financial burden. The details of eligibility criteria of technical education scholarship scheme are as follows


Scholarship Eligibility Criteria


Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Yojna The applicant should be an Indian national. They should be a domicile of Maharashtra state. The applicant should be a “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical courses. The applicants from the deemed university are not eligible. The candidates should be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The applicants cannot avail of any other scholarship while applying for this. For the current academic year, only 2 children from a family are allowed to avail of the benefits of the scheme. The total annual income of the family should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. A minimum of 50 % attendance in the previous semester is required. During the course duration, the candidate should not have had a gap of two or more years


Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Vastigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DTE) The applicant should be an Indian national. They should be a domicile of Maharashtra state. The applicant should be a “Bonafide Student of Institute” and admitted for Professional and Technical courses. The applicants from the deemed university are not eligible. The candidates should be admitted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The applicants cannot avail of any other scholarship while applying for this. Directorate Of Higher Education

All those students who want to take higher education can take the benefit of a higher education scholarship scheme. Through this scholarship scheme financial assistance is provided to all the students who cannot afford to pursue their higher education due to financial issues. There are 13 types of scholarships that are offered by the directorate of higher education for the students of Maharashtra. It has to be noted that only the domicile of Maharashtra can take benefit of this scholarship scheme. The details of eligibility criteria of the directorate of higher education scholarship scheme are as follows


Scholarship Eligibility Criteria


Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shikshan Shulkh Shishyavrutti Scheme The applicant should be a domicile of Maharashtra They should belong to Maharashtra State Border or Karnataka State Border to apply for the scholarship. The family annual income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The candidates belonging to the general category and who have taken admission are eligible to apply. The applicant should not avail of any other scholarship or stipend. The courses which students have enrolled in should be approved by the government or AICTE. The students should not have had a 2-year gap during their course. The students must have given all semester examinations.


Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship – Junior Level The students from class 11th & 12th class are eligible to apply. The students should have a DHE sanctioned letter. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.


Education Concession to the Children of Ex-Servicemen The applicant’s son/daughter/wife/widow of ex-servicemen are eligible. The students should be enrolled in government-aided colleges only. The Maharashtrian Students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.


Eklavya Scholarship The students must have graduated in degree courses of Law, Commerce & Arts with at least 60% marks and in Science with at least 70% marks. The annual income of the applicant’s parents should not exceed INR 75000. The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra state. The beneficiary should not do a part-time or full-time job. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.
State Government Open Merit Scholarship The applicant must be a resident of the Maharashtra state. The applicant should have secured at least 60% marks in class 12th. This scholarship is for students who have enrolled for Arts, Commerce, Science and Law courses. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.

Scholarship to Meritorious Students Possessing Mathematics/Physics The students should secure at least 60% in Science exam and more than 60% in Maths & Physics in Class 12th. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme. The applicant must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
Government Vidyaniketan Scholarship The student should secure 60% marks in the class 10th examination. The student should have passed the class 10th exam from the State Government Vidyanikethan only. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme. The applicant must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.


State Government Daxshina Adhichatra Scholarship The applicant must be a graduate student from non-agriculture University only. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme. The applicant must be a resident of the Maharashtra State.
Government Research Adichatra The applicant must be a post-graduate degree holder. The applicant must be a resident of the Maharashtra State. The applicant should have secured 60% marks in post-graduation. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme.


Education Concession to the Children Freedom Fighter The applicants who are son/daughter/wife/widow of freedom fighters are eligible. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra cannot apply for this scheme The students should be domicile of Maharashtra.
Jawaharlal Nehru University Scholarship The Maharashtrian students who have studied in JNU. The UG and PG JNU students are applicable to the scheme. They should be a domicile of Maharashtra.


Assistance to Meritorious Students Scholarship 

Senior Level The students from class 11th & 12th are eligible to apply. The Maharashtrian students studying out of Maharashtra can apply for this scheme.
Dr. Punjabrao Deshmukh Vasatigruh Nirvah Bhatta Yojna (DHE) The applicant should be a domicile of Maharashtra. For professional courses, the applicants who are children of registered labour or Alpabhudarak or both are eligible. The annual income of the family/ guardian should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The applicants should not avail any other Nirvah Bhatta benefits. The applicant should attempt every semester or annual exam.


OBC, SEBC, VJNT & SBC Welfare Department

Under this scholarship scheme financial assistance is provided to all the students who belong to OBC, VJNT, SEBC and SBC category. Only those students who belong to the above-mentioned categories can apply for this scholarship scheme. Those students who are pursuing courses approved by the government can take benefit of this scholarship. Before applying for this scholarship applicants are advised to check their eligibility criteria. The details of eligibility criteria of OBC, SEBC, VJNT & SBC welfare department Scholarship scheme is as follows


Scholarship Eligibility Criteria


Post-Matric Scholarship for VJNT Students The applicant should belong to VJNT, OBC, and SBC category. The applicants must be pursuing the education course approved by the government. The annual family income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicant should apply for the scholarship via the CAP system. The applicant should achieve 75% attendance for the current year.


Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to VJNT Students The applicant should belong to the VJNT category. The applicant must be a resident of Maharashtra state. The annual family income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The students enrolled in degree courses in Health Science etc. are eligible to apply. The freeship will be applicable to students enrolled in unaided or aided government colleges in technical education. The students who are enrolled in courses such as Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries are also eligible to apply.
Payment of Maintenance Allowance to VJNT and SBC Students Studying in Professional Courses and Living in Hostel Attached to Professional Colleges The applicant should belong to the VJNT and SBC category. The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicant should be admitted to the hostels in professional colleges. The applicant is not eligible if he or she takes admission in a government hostel. The students who are enrolled in professional courses such as Engineering, Medical, Veterinary, Architecture etc.


Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Merit Scholarship for Students Studying in 11th & 12thStandard of VJNT & SBC Category The applicants should belong to Vimukta Jatis, Nomadic Tribes, and Special Backward Classes. The applicant must be studying in class 11th and 12th in junior colleges. There is no family annual income limit. The students should not have a study gap to avail of this scholarship. The applicants must be residents of Maharashtra.


Post Matric Scholarship to OBC Students The applicant should belong to the OBC category. The applicants must be pursuing education courses approved by the government. The application should come via CAP round for professional courses. The applicants need 75% attendance for the current year.
Post Matric Scholarship to SBC Students The parent’s annual income should not exceed INR 1 Lakh. The applicants must belong to the SBC category. The applicants should be residents of Maharashtra. The applicants must be pursuing the education courses approved by the government.

Tuition Fees and Examination Fees to SBC Students The applicants must belong to the SBC category. The annual family income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The applicants must be pursuing education courses approved by the government. The applicant must be a domicile of Maharashtra State.
Directorate of Medical Education and Research

Those students who are pursuing their education in medical and research departments can avail the benefit of the scholarship schemes that are offered by the directorate of Medical Education and research. Under this scholarship scheme, various kinds of financial incentives are offered to be students so that they can finance their education. There are two types of scholarships that are provided under the Directorate of Medical Education and research which are the Rajarshiri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj fee reimbursement scheme and the DR Panjabrao Deshmukh hostel maintenance allowance. Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Fee Reimbursement Scheme For MBBS/BDS and other courses, candidates whose family annual income does not exceed INR 8 Lakh.


Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Hostel Maintenance Allowance The student’s family annual income should not exceed INR 8 Lakh. The student’s parents should be registered laborers. The students who have taken admission in hostels in Mumbai, Pune, Aurangabad, and Nagpur are eligible. The students should have taken admission to degrees such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BHMS, etc in government-aided colleges.
